The goats chickens and dog had to be patient when Allen and I were dealing with covid. Hard to keep up with the critters when you are that sick. When I couldn’t get out any more Allen stepped up even though he was so sick too. We had to minimize our cares. Fortunately the weather was wonderfully cooperative, the temps were warm and the snow held off.
In healthy times I would care for the critters many times a day. In sickness we were able to cut that down to only twice and the beasties survived, still fat and sassy. It has taken us a bit to catch up with cleaning, but we are back on top of things.
Having critters can be a challenge, we experienced that in a very painful way. Though I also was able to experience the joy and laughter they bring. They all make me smile every day, the goats, chicknes and our great goofball of a dog. As I was struggling to catch up with all the cleaning those smiles helped me get through. Joy is a powerful thing.
